Deborah is a Senior Associate in LegalVision’s Construction team, with particular expertise in JCT contracts, payment disputes and extensions of time. She advises employers, developers, contractors, subcontractors, architects and consultants on the full range of construction law issues, from contract drafting and administration through to disputes, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Before joining LegalVision, Deborah spent 15 years in-house in the construction sector, giving her a real-world understanding of how legal issues play out on live projects. She focuses on practical, commercially deliverable solutions, drawing on her experience of the JCT suite, variations management, Construction Act compliance, and extension of time claims.
Deborah is also dual-qualified, having been called to the Bar and later admitted as a solicitor.
When working with clients, Deborah takes the time to understand the commercial reality behind each project, not just the legal issue on the surface. She believes the best legal advice is advice that clients can actually use to keep projects moving forward.
