Generally, the first step in obtaining this consent is for the landlord to approve of the assignee. You will need to send the landlord a formal written request for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typically, the landlord will want to ensure that the assignee (the person who will become the tenant) can comply with all their obligations under the lease. To do so, they may ask you to provide evidence of the assignee\u2019s financial standing.
