Accordingly, a landlord has the legal right to refuse consent unless the lease states otherwise. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A1 for shops;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A2 for professional services;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A3 for food and drink;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A4 for public houses;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>B1 for offices;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>B2 for general industry; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>B4 for particular industrial use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I Change a Property\u2019s Use Class?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Different reasons can arise which lead a landlord to change the use of their commercial property. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a prospective tenant wishes to sign a lease to carry out a different business activity; or&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the current commercial tenant wants to change their business activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Where you need to alter the property\u2019s use class, legal implications will arise.
